I’ll take a walk and shake it off
I can’t behave the way you want
Look down the road,
you’ll be seeing the back of my head
This busted car can hold me
It will and it does
And nothing can compare
To the sun in my two arms
To be alone, what a feeling
To be forgotten, what a feeling
And I tried to remember how the rain felt
I tried to remember how the rain felt
‘Cause it won’t fall again
The ground will be cracked and drained
And the only things growing
Are the tension lines in your face
No time to try and fertilize
Saw you with floods in your eyes
What happened to put you in such a state, my dear?
Just take a walk and shake it off
Feeling will be gone tomorrow
And nothing can compare
to the sun in your two arms
To be alone, what a feeling
To be forgotten, what a feeling
To be alone, what a feeling
To be forgotten, what a feeling
And I won’t fall again
I will be dry and drained
When the only things growing
Are the tensions lines in my face
To be alone, what a feeling
To be forgotten, what a feeling
To be alone, what a feeling
To be forgotten, what a feeling
To be alone, what a feeling
To be forgotten, what a feeling
And I won’t feel again
I won’t feel again
Mmm mmm

Alvvays has always been great, but with this album they took it to the next level. Every one of these songs is lodged in my brain now, permanently (in a good way). s. moxley
The Arizona band do right by post-hardcore on their immersive new LP, leavening untempered breakdowns with carefully-measured catharsis. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 20, 2018
Spacious, psych-tinged indie rock from Philly; painting in blurry watercolors (but not without percussive headiness). Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 16, 2016

I think it's difficult to write songs about something other than romantic love, and still be able to communicate the intensity with which those feelings can hit a person. Some of the entries on this album are fantastic examples of this niche. dani_bloop
